What is Solo Dog Walk?

A full hour focused entirely on your dog.

Solo Dog Walk is ideal for dogs who prefer one-to-one attention, need a quieter environment or simply do better when the walk is built around them. The pace, route and style of walk can be adapted around confidence, age, fitness, handling needs and what your dog actually enjoys.

There is no pressure to force social interaction. It can be a calm sniff-led walk, confidence-building outing or a more active one-to-one adventure.

What one-to-one really means

No group pressure. The walk can adapt to the dog in front of us.

Solo Dog Walk is not just a group walk with the other dogs removed. The route, distance, pace and handling can change around confidence, triggers, age and what helps your dog enjoy being outside.

Space from other dogs

We can choose quieter routes and create distance where your dog is more comfortable without a group to manage.

Confidence-led routes

A familiar or quieter route can be more useful than pushing a nervous dog into a busy environment.

Pace that can change

Older dogs can take things steadily, while fitter dogs can use the hour for a more active one-to-one outing.

Clear handling notes

Lead handling, known triggers and routine details are agreed at the meet and greet before regular walks begin.

Who it suits

For dogs who need space, confidence or individual care.

Usually a great fit

Nervous or easily overwhelmed dogs
Dogs who prefer one-to-one attention
Older dogs needing a gentler pace
Dogs building confidence or fitness
Dogs needing more individual handling

We may suggest another walk if...

Your dog thrives on sociable group walks
They need more than an hour of exercise
A shorter walk would suit them better
A more adventurous longer route is the better fit

Social Dog Walk, 30-Minute Dog Walk or 90-Minute Adventure Walk may be more suitable depending on their routine.

Local dog walking across Teesside

One-to-one dog walking across Teesside for dogs who need individual attention.

Solo Dog Walk is a 60-minute private walk built around one dog rather than a group.

The route, pace and style of the outing can change around confidence, fitness, age, known triggers and what helps the individual dog enjoy being outside. There is no need to shape the walk around a group.

That can make Solo Dog Walk a useful option for nervous dogs, dogs who are easily overwhelmed, older dogs, dogs with specific handling needs and dogs who simply prefer quieter walks.

One-to-one care does not mean pushing a dog into difficult situations. We can choose quieter routes, create space and keep the outing calm where that is the better experience.

Choosing the right service

Useful before you book.

We do not try to fit every dog into the same service. The meet and greet, your dog's routine, confidence, energy, handling needs and location all help us decide what will work best.

Common questions

Solo Dog Walk FAQs.

Practical answers about how the service works before you enquire.

Is Solo Dog Walk a private dog walk?

Yes. Solo Dog Walk is a 60-minute one-to-one dog walking service focused on one dog, or dogs from the same household where that has been agreed and can be handled safely together.

Is Solo Dog Walk suitable for reactive dogs?

It can be more suitable than a group walk for some reactive or anxious dogs because the route and distance from other dogs can be managed more carefully. Suitability still depends on the individual dog, their handling needs and what we learn at the meet and greet.

Can the route be changed for a nervous dog?

Yes. One of the main advantages of Solo Dog Walk is that the route can be chosen around the individual dog. A quieter, more familiar or more spacious route may be preferable to a busy park if that helps the dog remain comfortable.

Can the pace be adjusted for older dogs?

Yes. The pace and route can be adapted around age, fitness, confidence and the dog's normal routine. If a full hour is more than the dog needs, we may suggest 30-Minute Dog Walk instead.

Where do you offer Solo Dog Walk?

Solo Dog Walk is available across parts of Middlesbrough, Redcar, Guisborough and Stockton-on-Tees, subject to postcode, route capacity and current availability.

What information do you need before a Solo Dog Walk?

The meet and greet is used to understand normal routine, lead handling, confidence, known triggers, equipment, access and anything else that helps us plan a calm and appropriate one-to-one walk.
